FAQ

Is the Bee Army project a legal organisation?

Yes, it is a part of a not for profit company.

Who does provide financial support to the Bee Army project?

The first financial supporter to the Bee Army project was the journalist Mr. Jamal Khashoggi by donating $5,000 US (Note that his support was not announced at the time). Other supporters include Saudi businessmen believing in freedom of speech and opinion and seeking a positive future change in Saudi Arabia to the better.

Will I participate using my personal account on Twitter and Telegram or Signal or Wire?

To protect the members from being haunted or harassed by the Saudi regime, a secured account will be provided to participants, especially those inside Saudi Arabia. And those who lives overseas (ie outside Saudi Arabia) and they are cautious and have security tools for their protection such as using VPNs to prevent hacking or tracking, may participate using their own personal accounts on social media if they wish to. Currently, Bee Army is advising those living in Saudi Arabia to use Wire instead of Telegram or Signal or any other similar apps.

What tasks does the Bee Army do?

Supporting the participant’s opinions of his/her Saudi activist opinion, fighting the Saudi government electronic trolls and flies armies, interacting with the Bee hashtags, and other activities on Wire app such as discussion and forums and cultural competition.
